The Capo Zafferano Lighthouse has an interesting history, having been automated and left to ruin in the past. However, in 2016, it was given in concession to a private restoration firm for 50 years. The plan is to transform the lighthouse into a multipurpose building with a taste store, restaurant, suites, and a Museum of the Sea. The restoration aims to preserve the lighthouse's historical significance while giving it a new purpose, ensuring its continued presence as a landmark in the area.
