Cow Head Light

Cow Head Lighthouse is located in Cow Head, Newfoundland, Canada. The lighthouse was built in 1909 and features a cylindrical tower with a balcony and lantern, standing at a height of 5.5 meters. The structure has a concrete base and is made of cast iron, with a white tower and lantern and red trim. The lighthouse has a focal height of 43 meters and a range of 15 nautical miles.

The lighthouse was automated in 1952 and deactivated in 1988. Today, it is managed by the Town of Cow Head. The lighthouse is situated near one of the longest sandy beaches in Newfoundland, as well as a large area of sand dunes, and offers panoramic views of the Long Range Mountains of Gros Morne.
