Fort William Lighthouse

The Fort William Lighthouse is located on the northwest extremity of Robert Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. It was built on a concrete base and features a fiberglass tower with a cylindrical shape and a lantern. The tower is marked with white and red horizontal bands. The lighthouse stands on Fort William Point, a flat-topped rocky headland that forms the northwest entrance point of English Strait and the west side of the entrance to Carlota Cove.

The point was named by early 19th-century sealers who used it as a landmark for entering English Strait from the north.
