The Manistique East Breakwater Light is a lighthouse situated on the east breakwater of the harbor at Manistique, Michigan, on the shore of Lake Michigan. Its coordinates place it at latitude 45.94478 N, longitude 86.24765 W, just off the town of Manistique. The aid to navigation stands on a concrete pier at the lake’s edge in the harbor.
The tower is a square pyramidal structure of steel construction, painted red with a black lantern. It rises to a focal height of 15.2 m above the water, projecting a red isophase flash every six seconds (Iso R 6s) with a nominal range of 10 mn. The original optic was a fourth‑order Fresnel lens, later replaced by a 300 mm acrylic signal lens.
Construction of the lighthouse was completed in 1916 and the light was first exhibited on August 17, 1916. The station was automated in 1969, after which the original Fresnel lens was removed. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. The aid remains active today; the structure was sold at auction in 2013 and is now privately owned, though the light continues to function as an active navigational aid.
