Rozewie Lighthouse

The Rozewie Lighthouse is located in the small village of Rozewie, on the Polish coast of the Baltic Sea, between Jastrzębia Góra and Władysławowo. It was built in 1822 and features a unique two-stage tower design, with a concrete half lower tower and a steel upper tower. The tower stands at a height of 32.7 meters and has a focal height of 83 meters, with a range of 26 nautical miles.

The lighthouse has an interesting history, with its initial light source being a rapeseed oil fired lamp, which was later replaced by a Fresnel apparatus and then a kerosene lamp. Today, the light is an optical system made up of 20 reflector bulbs, with 10 on each rotating panel. The lighthouse is also linked to a legend created by Leon Wzorek, an elderly lighthouse keeper, and is said to be the inspiration for Stefan Zeromski's novel "The Wind from the Sea".

The Rozewie Lighthouse is currently accessible to the public, with the lowest observation gallery open to visitors. The highest observation deck, located in the signal room, offers stunning views of the surrounding area, including Władysławowo to the east and Jastrzębia Góra to the west. With its unique design and rich history, the Rozewie Lighthouse is a notable landmark on the Polish coast.
