Ryvarden Lighthouse is a coastal lighthouse located in Sveio Municipality, Vestland county, Norway. The lighthouse was established in 1849 to mark the southern shore of the entrance to the Bømlafjorden from the sea. It is situated about 8 kilometers southwest of the municipal centre of Sveio.
The lighthouse is a 10-meter tall square wooden tower, white with a red lantern at the top. The light is emitted at an elevation of 22.3 meters above sea level, and it emits a white, red, or green light, depending on direction, occulting three times every 10 seconds. The lighthouse is in use from dusk until dawn every day from 1 July until 10 June each year.
The lighthouse has an interesting history, having been automated in 1984, which made the live-in lighthouse keeper unnecessary. In 2005, the municipality bought the building, and it is now used as a regional cultural centre and museum. Today, Ryvarden Lighthouse remains an important part of the region's maritime history and a popular cultural destination.
