The Eagle Island Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located on Eagle Island, Mullet Peninsula, County Mayo, Ireland. Built in 1835, the lighthouse has a cylindrical tower with a balcony and a lantern on the east tower, which was later removed. The structure stands at a height of 11 meters (36 feet) and has a focal height of 67 meters (220 feet) above sea level. The lighthouse is marked with a white tower and has a range of 18 nautical miles (33 kilometers).

The Eagle Island Lighthouse is currently operational, managed by the Commissioners of Irish Lights. It was automated in 1988, and there are no longer any lighthouse keepers residing on the island. The lighthouse was built as part of a pair, with another lighthouse located on the east side of the island, but only the western lighthouse remains operational. The island has a rich history, with two lighthouses commissioned in 1830 in response to concerns about sea conditions at Blackrock. The lighthouses were built at a cost of almost £40,000 and became operational in September 1835.

The island has faced numerous challenges due to its location near the Continental Shelf, with powerful waves from the Atlantic constantly battering the lighthouse. Despite the construction of a massive storm wall, the lights were repeatedly hit by waves, leading to damage and repairs. The island was eventually deemed unsuitable for human habitation, and the families were rehoused on the mainland in the late 19th century. Today, the Eagle Island Lighthouse stands as a testament to the bravery and determination of those who built and maintained it in the face of adversity.
