Tennholmen Lighthouse is located in the Vestfjorden on one of the Tennholman islands, just west of the Givær islands, about 32 kilometers due west of the town of Bodø in Nordland county, Norway. The lighthouse was built on October 1, 1901, and is a wooden structure with a square tower on the keeper's house roof. The tower is painted white with a red top and stands at a height of 14.4 meters, with the light sitting at an elevation of 27.3 meters above sea level.

The lighthouse was automated in 1988 and is still active, flashing a white light once every 30 seconds from dusk to dawn from August 4 to May 2 each year. The 487,600-candela light can be seen for up to 15.5 nautical miles. The lighthouse is inactive during the summers due to the midnight sun in the region. The structure consists of a 1.5-story wood house where the keeper lived, and the light is mounted on the roof of this house.

The Tennholmen Lighthouse has been an important aid to navigation in the region, with a rich history dating back to its construction in 1901. The lighthouse is now a significant part of Norway's maritime heritage, and its unique location and design make it a notable landmark in the area. With its automated operation and continued use, the Tennholmen Lighthouse remains a vital component of the country's coastal safety infrastructure.
