Troubridge Hill Lighthouse

Troubridge Hill Lighthouse is a notable lighthouse located on Troubridge Hill in Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. It was built in 1980 as part of a project to upgrade the navigation system in the area. The lighthouse stands at a height of 32 meters and has a focal height of 62 meters, making it an easily visible aid to navigation for ships and boats.

The lighthouse is constructed from unpainted red brick, which was chosen for its design benefits, including wind and earthquake loading. The innovative use of brickwork in the tower won its builders an award from the South Australian Clay Brick Association. The lighthouse is equipped with a Fl (2) W 15 seconds light characteristic and is managed by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

Troubridge Hill Lighthouse is situated about 13.5 kilometers south-west of Edithburgh and 3.7 kilometers west of Troubridge Point. Its unique design and location make it a significant aid to navigation in the region.
