The Barrettinelli di Fuori Lighthouse is a prominent landmark situated in the Maddalena archipelago, off the coast of Sardinia, Italy. Built in 1936, the first lighthouse was destroyed during World War II, and a skeletal tower was erected in 1960, only to be replaced by the current stone structure the following year.
The lighthouse stands at a height of 12 meters, with a distinctive red band running horizontally across its black surface. The light source, powered by a solar unit installed in 1985, is positioned at 22 meters above sea level and emits two white flashes every 10 seconds, visible up to a distance of 11 nautical miles. The lighthouse is completely automated and managed by the Marina Militare, with the identification code number 1010 E.F.
The Barrettinelli di Fuori Lighthouse has an interesting history, with its first structure being built by the Regia Marina in 1936. The skeletal tower that followed was a temporary replacement, and the current stone structure was erected in 1961. The lighthouse is a testament to the importance of maritime navigation and the efforts made to ensure safe passage for ships in the area.
