Morro Jable

Morro Jable Lighthouse is an active guiding light situated in the town of Morro Jable on the island of Fuerteventura, Spain. The lighthouse was completed in 1991, standing at an impressive 59 meters tall, making it the tallest lighthouse in the Canary Islands. It features a tapered cylindrical tower with a balcony, lantern, and observation room, and is marked by a white tower.

The lighthouse has a focal height of 62 meters above the sea, allowing its light to be seen for 17 nautical miles. The light consists of two flashes of white light every 10 seconds. It is sometimes confused with the older Punta Jandía Lighthouse, which lies 22 kilometers away by road at the western end of the Jandía peninsula.

The Morro Jable Lighthouse is managed by the Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and serves as a vital aid to navigation for ships and boats in the area. Its height and visibility make it a notable landmark on the island of Fuerteventura.
